01 What this covers
This policy explains the cookies and browser storage used on theprodigaldevelopers.com and every page we serve from it, including /royal-flush, /only-hope, /keisey and /business-card.
It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal information more broadly, and our Terms of Service.
Landed here from a link?
The consent prompt appears on whichever page you arrive on — a game page, the press kit, a shared link — not only on the home page. Your answer is stored for the whole site, so you are asked once, wherever you started.
02 Cookies and local storage
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep and hand back on later visits. Local storage does much the same job, but the data stays in your browser and is never automatically attached to network requests.
We use local storage rather than a cookie for our one entry, precisely because it is not sent to our server with every request. It sits in your browser, we read it in the page to decide whether to show you the consent banner, and that is the whole of it.
03 The categories we use
The preferences panel groups storage into three categories. Only the first is on by default; the other two require you to switch them on.
Strictly necessary Always on
Needed for the site to function and to honour the choice you made. This category cannot be switched off, because switching it off would mean forgetting your instruction to switch things off. It never profiles you.
Analytics Off by default
Would let us count visits and see which pages and announcements people actually read, so we know what to build and write next. Aggregated, never sold, never used to identify you personally.
Marketing Off by default
Would let us measure whether a wishlist campaign or a post about Royal Flush or Only Hope reached anyone, and show relevant announcements off-site.
As of today
No analytics or marketing tool is installed on this site. Those two categories exist so that if we ever add one, it is already gated behind your consent rather than bolted on afterwards. When we do add anything, it will be listed by name in the table below before it runs.

That is the complete list. If your browser's developer tools show anything else under our domain, it is not ours — tell us and we will investigate.
05 What we do not use
- No advertising networks and no ad cookies.
- No cross-site or cross-device tracking pixels.
- No social media "like" or share widgets that phone home. Our social links are plain links.
- No session-recording, heatmap, or fingerprinting scripts.
- No sale or sharing of any information for behavioural advertising.
06 Third-party requests
Two things load from outside our server so the site looks right. Neither sets a cookie here, but both see your IP address and browser details, because that is how a browser fetches a file:

Links we point at — Steam, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn — absolutely do set their own cookies, but only once you click through and land on their site. At that point their policies apply, not ours.
07 Changing your choice
You can reopen the preferences panel at any time, from any page on the site: use the button below, or the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page.
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it costs you nothing — the site works exactly the same either way.
08 Browser-level controls
You can also clear or block site storage yourself, which will remove our consent record along with everything else. Note that clearing it means we no longer know your answer, so the banner will appear again on your next visit — that is the mechanism working correctly, not a fault.

Blocking storage entirely is fine here. Everything on this site remains readable and usable; you will simply be asked about cookies on each visit, because we have nowhere to write down that you already answered.
09 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a signal some browsers and extensions send to say "do not sell or share my data." We honour it: when we see a GPC signal, every optional category is pre-set to off and stays off unless you deliberately turn it on yourself. We say so in the banner when we detect one.
Do Not Track (DNT) has no agreed meaning across the industry and was never standardised, so we do not claim to respond to it. Our defaults already give you what DNT was meant to achieve: nothing optional runs unless you say yes.
10 Changes to this policy
If we add anything that stores data in your browser, this page is updated before it goes live, the new entry is named in the table above, and — because the addition changes what you agreed to — the consent prompt reappears so you can answer again. The "last updated" date always reflects the current version.
